New Chief Product Officer at GoDaddy
GoDaddy has hired within to take the reigns as chief product officer. Steven Aldrich, formerly SVP of business applications, will hold the newly created position. Aldrich joined GoDaddy in 2012 and brings years of local experience to the role.
COO Appointed At Shopify
Harley Finkelstein has moved from chief platform officer to the chief operating officer position. The move is fairly interesting since the company went public last year. Finkelstein has been at Shopify since 2010 and now holds a critical operating role. If CEO Tobias Lutke ever decides to leave his post, the company would be in good hands with a professionally groomed COO.
Revel Systems Promotes New CRO
Point-of-Sale technology company Revel Systems has promoted Bobby Marhamat to the role of CRO. Prior to the promotion, Marhamat was SVP of Sales of the fast growing company. Revel Systems has raised $128M in venture funding and taking on Square, Micros, and the rest of the crowded field.
The Morning Call Hires Publisher
Hartford Courant publisher Rick Daniels has left his position to become CEO and publisher of The Morning Call and The Baltimore Sun. Daniels is taking over the role from Tim Ryan who left to run the LA Times and The San Diego Union-Tribune.
New CRO At GateHouse Media
GateHouse Media has appointed Peter Newton to CRO. Newton will continue to run GateHouse Media’s Propel Business Services as CEO. Newton joined GateHouse Media in 2012 to run Propel Marketing and has moved quickly through the ranks.
Digital Sales Veteran Promoted To SVP at CBS
Industry sales leader, Andi Poch, has been named SVP of Sales at CBS Local Digital Media. She brings 30 years of sales experience to the post. Most recently, Poch was SVP of Digital at Townsquare Media.
Maponics Appoints New Director
Custom mapping company, Maponics, has promoted Jessica Willis to director of brand strategy and marketing operations. Prior to her promotion, Willis was the director of marketing at Maponics.
