Every two weeks, Kelly Benish — who knows practically everyone in hyperlocal — covers some of the latest job changes taking place in this dynamic industry. (Plus, scroll down for jobs on offer now.)

Paul Rouse – Dex Media
Dex Media just brought on Paul Rouse as their CFO. Dex is one of the largest national providers of social, local and mobile marketing solutions in the USA. Previously, Paul was the CFO of Apple and Eve LLC, one of the largest privately held beverage companies in the USA. During Paul’s tenure the company doubled its enterprise value leading to its successful sale to Lassonde Industries at a significant premium to equity holders in 2014. Prior to that Paul was Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of Yellowbook Inc.

Darin Brown – Angie’s List
Angie’s List has had a lot of turnover in the CTO role in the past couple of years. The company announced this week that it would be replacing Robert Wiseman, who had held the role sine March, with former ExactTarget exec Darin Brown. Brown, who previously had senior roles in Double-Take Software and ChaCha Search is the third person to hold that title since 2011. Wiseman will stay on in a consulting role. Also moving up at Angie’s List is Shelly Towns, who is being promoted from VP product to SVP product.

Robin Allenson – Yext
Local listings giant Yext acquired Innerballoons — a Netherlands based listing management firm to better serve the European market. My friend Robin Allenson has now gone from the MD at Innerballoons to the SVP of European partnerships at Yext. Robin was also the European fulfillment arm at Universal Business Listing when I was there years prior and he’s done very well for himself over the years. He has an incredible amount of integrity and I trust this acquisition will open new doors for him.

Rasmus Kjærgaard – Microsoft
My good friend Rasmus Kjærgaard was just recruited by Microsoft as a solutions sales professional. Most recently, this distinguished gentleman was the head of global sales with Mono Solutions. Mono is one of the largest website creation firms in Denmark. I look forward to seeing him at future conferences. Ras has been in/around our industry for the last 13 years or so and he’s incredibly talented. Happy to see him land a new role!

Catherine Schutten – LocalVox Media
Catherine Schutten joined LocalVox Media in November as senior manager of content and brand strategy at LocalVox. In her role, Catherine manages LocalVox’s content marketing strategies and campaigns in order to acquire and retain clients. Prior to LocalVox, Catherine was senior marketing manager at Crain’s New York Business where she oversaw all marketing for the brand, including sales, digital initiatives, events and custom content creation.
