Instagram Snatches Product Lead From Yahoo
As Yahoo struggles to drive revenue and negotiate a potential sale, top talent are departing for new opportunities. Robby Stein, who was senior product director at Yahoo, has left to join Instagram as product lead. Stein joined Yahoo in after his company, Stamped, was acquired by Yahoo in October 2012. He also founded NYC product and engineering office for mobile and video. The loss is a blow to Yahoo, with potentially more to come.

Blueshift Brings on Strategic Advisor
Blueshift has brought on marketing guru Brian Monahan as an advisor. Monahan is currently co-founder and chief evangelist at NewCo Platform, a media and event platforms honoring innovators solving meaningful problems in the world. Prior to NewCo, he was the VP of Marketing at WalMart, and under his leadership the company’s traffic grew to become the second largest US eCommerce site. Blueshift has raised $2M in funding from LUMA Capital Partners, part of their $8mm Series A round, which included funding from Nexus Venture Partners and Storm Venture Partners.

Upserve’s New VP of Product
Upserve has hired a new VP of product, Rosie Atkins. The timing is interesting since Upserve recently acquired Breadcrumb (Groupon’s POS business unit) — Atkins was most recently the senior director of product at Breadcrumb while the company was with Groupon.

OpenTable Brings on LinkedIn Exec
Prasad Gune was hired by OpenTable as SVP of Restaurant Product Management, where he will lead the global restaurant innovation strategy and expand the ways that OpenTable helps restaurants run and grow their businesses. Prior to OpenTable, Gune was at LinkedIn in multiple roles during the eight years he worked at the company.

Thumbtack Hires Engineering Exec
Pinterest‘s former head of infrastructure, Raghavendra Prabhu, has joined Thumbtack as director of engineering to lead product growth and development. Prabhu was previously an engineer at Twitter and Google.

Search Influence Hires Technology Specialist
Search Influence has hired tech veteran Casey Duplantis as manager of technology and development. Duplantis brings over 20 years of experience to the role. Prior to Search Influence, Duplantis previously worked at Capital One as a senior manager and solution architect of card servicing.

Flurry of New Faces at Foursquare
After diversifying products and launching as a location intelligence company and raising $45M from investors in January, Foursquare is on a hiring spree. Some of the new hires include:

• Chad Jeskewitz, regional director, Midwest office
• Kimberly Smith, regional director, West Coast regional office from San Francisco
• Nikki Wegner, regional director, East Coast, directing Foursquare’s East regional sales operation in partnership with Leah Malone
• Kristine Bonds, senior brand partner, opening up our Detroit office (on the heels of growth in the automotive market)
• Jeff Reine, head of business development, platform partnerships, based in Foursquare’s SF office
• Jeremy Geiger, who will be leading business development in Asia from his post in Shanghai. Prior to Foursquare, Geiger was the founder and CEO of Retailigence.

flok Brings On Communications Exec
inMarket communications director, Dave Heinzinger, has left his post after five years to join flok as VP of Marketing Communications. Flok is a customer loyalty and engagement platform for local businesses which has raised $18m in venture funding.
