Charity Huff Appointed as CEO of Okanjo
Okanjo Partners Inc., a startup that creates digital engagement and revenue tools for online publishers, has named Charity Huff Chief Executive Officer. Huff succeeds Michael Drescher, who remains active with the company as founder and chairman. Before joining the startup, Huff was co-founder and CEO of TruMeasure which was acquired by McClatchy in 2013. Okanjo is in the midst of raising a $750k round of funding which is expected to close in mid-2017.

European Managing Director Hire at Factual
After almost two years at PlaceIQ as GM of EMEA, Mandeep Mason has joined Factual as Managing Director of Europe. Prior to Factual, Mason also worked in mobile advertising and sales strategy roles at Microsoft for three years. Factual is expanding in Europe and looking to take advantage of a growing mobile advertising economy. Factual raised a $25m Series B in 2015 and $62m overall.

Pandora Hires CFO
Pandora Media has appointmented Naveen Chopra as Chief Financial Officer. Chopra was most recently interim CEO and CFO of TiVo. Chopra is a well respected executive and has worked at TiVo since 2003 in various leadership roles. Pandora had strong fourth quarter earnings in 2016 but overall had an up-and-down year — there have also been rumors that Pandora was going to be acquired by competitor SyriusXM. The appointment of Chopra who went through many business stages of TiVo could provide strategic value of Pandora’s future.

Top Thinknear Exec Joins Bing Maps
Loren Hillberg has joined Bing Maps as Group Program Manager. Hillberg served as President and GM at Thinknear forthe past two-and-a-half years before joining Bing. Before Thinknear, he worked for Thinknear’s parent company Telenav as Vice President and General Counsel. Telenav went public in 2010 and acquired Thinknear in 2012 for $22.5m.

Executive Hire at LotLinx
LotLinx, a digital marketing solution for car dealers, has hired Eric Brown as President & Chief Product Officer. Prior to LotLinx, Brown had senior roles at organizations such as VP of Global Data Strategy at AutoAlert and CEO of Dataium. LotLinx’s headquarters is in Lafayetee Louisiana, and has raised $8.5m in venture capital since its founding in 2002.

LA Digital Ad Startup Hires COO
Kobe Digital, geo-specific digital marketing firm, has hired Samir Mohandes as Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Kobe Digital, Mohandes was an Asset Management Analyst at JP Morgan. Kobe Digital specializes in helping midsize businesses reach the millennial demographic.
