Former CEO of ConstantContact Appointed to MindBody Board
Gail Goodman, who was CEO of ConstantContact for 16 years, has joined MindBody’s board of directors. Goodman’s experience on managing a $1b market capitalization firm focused on small businesses will be of great benefit for MindBody. As MindBody looks to grow and increase revenue, Goodman’s experience will play a large hand to the company that has raised over $100m in venture capital.
Business Development Hire at Tru Measure
Tru Measure, a local online marketing and digital advertising analytics solution owned by McClatchy, has hired April Dauzat as business development manager. Dauzat began her career in sales and local media with the Rocky Mountain News. She brings more than 19 years of experience with a background in sales and product, working for companies including Digital First Media, Maps.com and The Denver Post. Even though Tru Measure searches for an executive candidate to replace Charity Huff, it’s a positive sign that they are hiring revenue generating talent.
$9m in Funding Equals Wrap Media Hire Spree
After raising a fresh $9m round of funding – which brings their total raised to $25.2m, Wrap Media has hired three executives to grow the mobile first storytelling and commerce platform. The new hires include: Kristine Shine as Chief Growth Officer and former President of the San Francisco Chronicle. Anne Driscoll as Chief Marketing Officer and former VP of Sales and marketing at Dwolla. And James Donelan as SVP of Engineering & Operations and former Engineering VP at Mulesoft. The company now has to grow fast and meet investor expectations. In a down market, expectations are higher than ever for sound business models, revenue, and growth.
Former CEO Joins NavAds as COO
NavAds, which fuels content for mapping and navigation companies, has hired Jonah Van Vulpen as COO. Van Vulpen is a seasoned executive and founder. He spent 10 years at Greetz where he was co-founder and CEO. His expertise and operational knowledge will be key to NavAds growth strategy. Hiring a veteran typically turns managed chaos into a clean running machine looking at evey way to cut costs and optimize.
Yieldbot Snatches GroupM Executive
After four years on the job as Chief Digital Officer at GroupM, Chris Copeland has left to become President of Yieldbot. Yieldbot and its war chest of $28m in funds helps publishers sell targeted ads. Some of Yieldbot’s clients are Hearst, Meredith, and Conde Naste.
Former Twitter Leader Becomes CEO of Manage
Experienced mobile ad guru, Mike Ng, was appointed to CEO of Manage — provider of mobile in-app advertising solutions for advertisers and publishers. Ng was at Twitter and Criteo before joining the company which recently raised $20m+.
ToutApp Director Joins Facebook
After a short stint as a director of marketing at ToutApp, Selin Tyler has joined Facebook in a product marketing communications role. Prior to ToutApp, Tyler worked at LinkedIn and Demand Media.
