Openings and New Hires at Belly, UBL, WorldNow, and FreshLime
Julio Bruno – Belly
Julio Bruno Castellanos was just brought on by Belly to be the company’s new COO. Bruno spent the last three years at TripAdvisor, where he was global VP of sales. He will lead all sales, marketing, enterprise, merchant success and management team functionalities for Belly. This announcement comes as Belly rolls out a large-scale expansion with 7-Eleven, bringing Belly’s total in-store partnerships to 10,000 locations across the United States and Canada by year’s end.
Jay Bean – FreshLime
The former chief strategy officer at Deluxe Corp recently threw in the towel at the company known for putting puppies and kittens on checks to become the new CEO at FreshLime. Besides making me crave a mojito, FreshLime is a small business marketing automation platform that offers DIY and DIFM options. Since Jay was most recently heavily involved with the development of Orange Soda two things are certain; he really must love citrus fruits and catering to small businesses!
Paul Donlan – UBL
The original Pauly D just got promoted to COO from President of international business development at my alma mater Universal Business Listing. I had the opportunity to catch up with UBL president Chris Travers at Street Fight Summit in NYC this week and he also let me know they are looking for all kinds of talented sales folks from Charlotte to the West Coast. Apply here.
Ryan McBride – Fathom Voice
Ryan McBride is seriously one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I was surprised-yet-happy to see he made the move last week from national sales director at Bandwidth.com after 4+ years to Fathom Voice as their VP of Marketplace. I’m sure Ryan’s keen likeability and eagerness to understand new business models will take this SaaS communication platform to the next level.
Marc Mulgrum -WorldNow
The broadcasting giant WorldNow just added Marc Mulgrum as their VP of sales, as he traded in his role at YooToo Technologies as VP of broadcast licensing for their social TV product. He has some big shoes to fill at Worldnow as he’s been tasked with taking them into new markets. Their software platform is used by over 450 customers include many leading media companies, such as Fox Television, CBS Television, Meredith Corporation, and Raycom Media.
