Every two weeks, Search Influence’s Kelly Benish — who knows practically everyone in hyperlocal — covers some of the latest job changes taking place in this dynamic industry. (Plus, scroll down for jobs on offer now.)

Mediative – Darby Sieben
Yellow Pages Group (YPG) announced that the amazing Darby Sieben has been appointed the new president of  Mediative. Darby takes over for Patrick Lauzon who stepped down earlier this year. Darby has been with YPG since 2006, joining as a senior manager of traffic, distribution and eproduct management, then promoted to director, online services a year later. In late 2009 he was again promoted to director of business development and strategic partnerships.  In his last role he lead the negotiation and management of partnerships key to the ongoing growth and transformation of YPG. Great work Darbs!

Mass Shenanigans – Living Social
Executives at LivingSocial outlined a new strategy last week that would move the company away from its daily e-mail deals toward those that instead live on its site for longer periods of time. Executives said the company intends to hire “a couple hundred” employees in departments as varied as sales, finance, marketing and engineering. For those who follow LivingSocial’s historical timeline, the news seems contradictory. Less than a year ago, the firm laid off around 400 workers in the United States. Around half were based in D.C. and executives said many of those cuts came from markets, both overseas and domestic, as well as lines of business that weren’t generating sufficient revenue. However, they also mentioned that other areas merit additional staff.

Wesley Ayres – Act-On Software
Wes Ayres left his role as general manager Surewest Directories at the beginning of the summer to pursue a new role as regional sales manager at Act-On Software. Act-On is a unique cloud-based marketing automation platform that provides visibility across a variety of digital advertising channels to help a company identify their best leads in real time by tracking the behavior of their unique website visitors (by name) and smoothly integrating that data with a company’s CRM. Wes is one of the nicest guys in the game and we wish him nothing but the best!

Joe Esposito – Spafax Networks
Spafax Networks, an ad-serving platform and division of WPP’s tenthavenue, announced  last week that Joe Esposito has been promoted to VP of product development & operations from his previous role as director, audience solutions & product. He is based in New York and reports to Patrick Bonomo, chief operating officer. Before joining Spafax Networks in January 2012, Esposito was a director at Kinetic Worldwide. In that role, he built event and audience-based products and solutions.

Ivor Sequeira – Neustar
An old friend at Neustar, Ivor Sequeira was just promoted from “senior director global channel management marketing business development” to a new (but somewhat similar) title of “senior director — registry, global channel management & strategic business development.” Congrats Ivor!

Bright Park – BrightRoll
Bright recently left the Google strategic partnerships team for a job at digital solutions platform BrightRoll. He has yet to update his Linkedin profile so this juicy information is hot off the press!
