The Local Search Association, which brings together over 300 companies intent on connecting enterprises and small businesses alike with consumers, announced on Wednesday morning Bill Dinan as its new president. The announcement follows the retirement of its previous president Neg Norton, who held the role for 15 years.

Before taking the helm at LSA, Dinan was vice president and head of strategic business development at WEB.com, which provides local businesses with digital marketing tools and web services. Dinan has been chairman of the board at LSA since 2013.

“I’m honored to take a more direct role and lead the LSA as we work to meet the dynamic needs of the many companies and technologies powering local small businesses and franchises today,” Dinan said.

He will make his debut as LSA president at the group’s annual conference in Dana Point, California, later this month.

“We’re strong believers in the value LSA provides to our industry,” said Manish Patel, CEO of Brandify. “I’ve personally known Bill Dinan for quite some time, and I’m confident that LSA will thrive under his leadership. It will be exciting to see and participate in the organization’s next steps.”
