Monday, January 30: The Bouqs Rakes in $24 Million for Flower Delivery
Partech Ventures led the Series C round, LA Business Journal reported. The funding will boost The Bouqs’ marketing and technology efforts and allow for a staff expansion. The company provides an online platform for floral orders and also conducts same-day deliveries.
Tuesday, January 31: SoundHound Lands $75 Million for Voice-Assistant Platform, Houndify
Among the round’s investors were Samsung Electronics Co.’s Catalyst Fund, Nvidia Corp., Nomura Group, Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, and the SharesPost 100 Fund, Bloomberg reported. The capital will help SoundHound build out its voice-recognition platform, Houndify, which it hopes to market at a time when consumers and companies are warming up to voice search.
Wednesday, February 1: SIM Partners Raises $5 Million for Location Marketing Platform
Jump Capital and River Cities Capital Funds contributed to the round, MarTech Advisor reported. SIM Partners offers a platform that helps multi-location businesses take advantage of various locations as they expand. SIM will user the funding to fuel growth.
Wednesday, February 1: Reserve Picks Up $10 Million for Restaurant Software
Expa Capital led the Series B round, TechCrunch reported. Reserve makes software that allows customers to make reservations and helps restaurants allot tables and manage customer data. The company is expanding its service nationwide and building out its table-management software.
Thursday, February 2: MapAnything Secures $33 Million for Location Data Service
Columbus Nova led the Series B round, Charlotte Business Journal reported. MapAnything allows business to visualize Salesforce data on a map. With the funding, MapAnything will expand its data visualization to include data collected by ServiceNow, a Salesforce rival.
Wednesday, February 8: Cuebiq Takes In $3.5 Million for Location Intelligence
Tribeca Angels led the Series A round, according to a press release published on the company’s site. Cuebiq will put the capital toward hiring for its product and sales teams, developing its product, and building additional offices across the United States.
Wednesday, February 8: Fuze Scores $104 Million for Business Communications Platform
Wellington Management Company led the round. Fuze offers enterprises a whole suite of communication tools, including SMS, video, instant messages, and voice calls “under a single cloud-based platform,” VentureBeat reported. With the new funding, Fuze will develop its product and expand its operations globally.
