Openings and New Hires at Dex, Block Communications and Verve
Every two weeks, Kelly Benish — who knows practically everyone in local — covers some of the latest job changes taking place in this dynamic industry. (Plus, scroll down for jobs on offer now.)
Nada Stirratt – Verve Mobile
Verve Mobile recently announced Nada Stirratt as the company’s new chief executive officer. She will be succeeding Tom MacIsaac as CEO, bringing over 18 years of experience in the advertising technology space to Verve. She most recently served as Acxiom’s CRO, where she led a global team or 3,500+ associates and helped during their acquisition of LiveRamp. Nada also served as CRO of MySpace, executive VP of digital advertising at MTV Networks, and held leadership positions at Advertising.com, Moviefone and AOL. Impressive hire for Verve!
Leon Spencer – Dex
Dex has been on a hiring spree lately, most recently bringing on the digital marketing muscle of Leon Spencer, who has signed on as their digital marketing specialist. He’ll be working with SMBs and professionals to help them improve lead generation. He comes over from hibu where he had a title by the same name. In the past, he worked strategic roles at ABG, Media Blox and Nashville news station WVLT. In addition to his new role, he’s had his own branding consulting firm since 2012.
Brianna Bartlett – Tiger Pistol
Brianna Bartlett recently left Orange Soda, where she had been the director of business development. Tiger Pistol (named after a type of snapping shrimp) then pulled the proverbial trigger and brought her on board as its new head of business development. Brianna will be focused on building new partnerships for the marketing platform and with her past history of managing marketing for Coach, Abercrombie and other brands she is bound to make a name for them. Happy for you, Brianna!
Mark Mangelson – Degreed
Local vet Mark Mangelson has just joined new company Degreed, which helps people track all of their academic, professional, and informal learning. The company matches users to learning resources: courses, trainings, professional certificates, conferences, articles. He will be their director of enterprise sales. I first met Mark when he was at Clearlink and since then he’s been focused on the learning services industry.
Steve Fullbright – MultiView
Marketing platform MultiView recently announced the appointment of Steve Fullbright, as its chief operating officer. MultiView drives performance through targeting and performance. With more than 15 years of deep technical and strategic operations experience, Fullbright is the perfect addition to lead MultiView into new territory. Prior to MultiView, Steve was the SVP of global services at ReachLocal.
Tammy Rechin – Medallia
With 13 years of offline and online advertising experience, Tammy Rechin was a prime choice for the role of director of sales at Medallia. She’s been charged with leading sales efforts for the SaaS Enterprise Feedback Management (EFM) solution. Prior to this new role, Tammy was the national partner development manager at DialogTech. She was also the past director of business development at SIM Partners and an account manager at Dex back in the day.
Also on the move: Robert Hohman is celebrating a work anniversary, 8 years as founder and CEO at Glassdoor… Loren Baker blows out the candles for his 2 year anniversary as co-founder of Foundation Digital… Lori Morgan was recently brought on by Block Communications from WorldNow as corporate director of digital sales… Todd Carpenter celebrated his 11th year as President and CEO at Boone Newspapers.
