Every two weeks, Search Influence’s Kelly Benish — who knows practically everyone in hyperlocal — covers some of the latest job changes taking place in this dynamic industry. (Plus, scroll down for jobs on offer now.)

Zorik Gordon – ReachLocal
There was some surprise around the watercooler ahead of BIA/Kelsey’s Leading in Local conference this week when ReachLocal announced the resignation of it’s CEO, Zorik Gordon who was slated to keynote in Austin. The company’s president Nate Hanks, took over on stage, and ReachLocal chairman David Carlick was named interim CEO, effective immediately. A statement from the company gave no reason for Gordon’s departure other than the desire to “pursue other entrepreneurial opportunities.”

Todd Leeloy – Orange Soda
Newly installed Orange Soda GM Todd Leeloy is all about building great teams, driving results, and encouraging innovation. After a long day of work, Todd likes to stay plugged in by advising early-stage, local startups in the online space. Before OrangeSoda, he was the VP of digital products at Dex One. He received his Master of International Management at Thunderbird.

Thomas McGuire – Market Authority
Tom updated me on his recent change where he decided to leave mobile advertising platform VoodooVox where he was their VP of business development and sales for a role with the same title at consulting agency Market Authority. Tom is a true go-getter and an industry connector, with his personal brand backing Market Authority it’s not only helped to promote brand awareness but it’s opened the door for new partners and clients.

Cian Chang – Surefire Social
Social media platform Surefire Social has brought on Cian Chang as chief product officer. As CPO, Chang will be responsible for driving Surefire Social’s product strategy while improving marketing technology. A product management veteran for leading companies, including Deltek and AOL, Chang brings nearly 20 years of experience driving innovative digital product, content and community initiatives at scale. Chang led product management teams at AOL responsible for six major releases of the AOL subscription service and for extending AOL’s offerings onto mobile phones, pagers, PDAs, and TV set-top boxes.

Megan Liberman – Yahoo!
Yahoo! News has named Megan Liberman its editor-in-chief. Liberman will be tasked with expanding Yahoo! News’ team and creating new features for the site. Liberman was previously The New York Times Magazine’s deputy editor and first online editor. She also created the popular parenting blog, Motherlode.
