Openings and New Hires at Dex Media, Connectivity, GoDaddy, and Hearst

Every two weeks, Search Influence’s Kelly Benish — who knows practically everyone in hyperlocal — covers some of the latest job changes taking place in this dynamic industry. (Plus, scroll down for jobs on offer now.)

Del Humenik – Dex Media
Former Dex Media EVP of sales & marketing Del Humenik, has been appointed to the newly-created position of COO. Humenik’s new role puts him in charge of “all client-facing functions, including sales, marketing, operations and technology,” according to SuperDex’s PR representative. Not to rip off the Jefferson’s theme song but: “Movin’ on up!”

Nadya Morezova – GoDaddy
I first had the pleasure of meeting Nadya Morezova when she worked with my friend Ian Bowen-Morris through Telnic a couple of years ago. She’s since expanded her work portfolio by hopping over to Afternic as their director of business development for all of the EU and now has been brought on to work at GoDaddy with the one and only Raj Nijjer as their director of business development and GTM, EMEA.

Alex Vaccaro – Connectivity
Alex Vaccaro came to Connectivity as their director of marketing six months ago from Trada where she ran marketing and the lead gen sales team. Before that she worked for SlimGenics, a local multi-location weight loss business. She was recently charged with running interim marketing and sales at Connectivity while they are searching for a director of sales. Besides being from Charlotte where I am headquartered, Alex spends her off time wedding dress shopping and hanging out with her child in a dog suit, her adorable boxer named D.O.G.

Chris Armer – GigeNet
Some sad news to report this week. The SVP of operations at web hosting company GigeNET (but, most importantly, husband and father of three) Chris Armer passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Sunday. He was only 32 years old, however in those few short years he was also the inside marketing manager at SingleHop. The hosting industry is close, and friends of Chris’s set up a link for donations to his family to support his funeral costs. Please share with those who you think may be able to help out. Heartfelt condolences to his family.

Lee Sosin – Hearst
Rumor has it that Hearst Digital Media just brought on a new SVP, Lee Sosin. Lee comes over from his role of VP of strategic solutions at Yahoo! where he decided to depart the Marissa Mayer bandwagon.  At Yahoo! he ran a team in charge of content creation, marketing and media solutions that that connected brands with the audiences they wanted to reach. Prior to joining Yahoo! in 2011, Lee ran Time Inc. Studios, the branded entertainment and television division of media giant Time Inc.
