The Last 2025 Predictions Article You Need to Read
Admit it… We’re all getting a little tired of seeing the “Greatest Hits & Stats of 2024” and the “Predictions for 2025” articles that are proliferating throughout the media. And, most of us are now scrolling and scanning rather than spending massive amounts of time reading and ruminating.
So here, in snackable form, is the inaugural “Hot or Not” chart for 2025.
MULO (multi-location) is a term we came up with for Street Fight Magazine when I first started writing for the publication in 2023. It seems to be catching on.
Says Jeff Fromm, thought leader, Forbes contributor/5x book author, and advisor to Tickets for Less (TFL),
“Multi-location businesses across categories share common challenges and needs — location and talent, marketing strategies and technologies, agency selection and management, and the ongoing balance between corporate and local. And the lines are blurring between business types, as retailers, restaurants, service businesses, and shopping centers and malls now offer experiences and not just products.”
HYLOMOS was recently added to our lexicon. Consumers need to find products, locations, and experiences, and “near me” search is a core component consumer behavior, marketing, and media. After all, smart MULO brands now know where you are and what you consume and can “talk” to you as an individual.
We’re watching daily transformations in the MULO landscape and predicting what will last and what will fizzle out. We see the winners and losers (BOOMs and BUSTs) and report on why they’re thriving or crashing and burning. Most importantly, we help today’s marketers figure out how to spend that precious marketing and martech budget as the number of options increases exponentially and the agency world becomes the Wild West!
