Foursquare Data Shows Shopping Patterns for Star Wars Fans and Trekkies
Marking the release of the new Star Wars movie, Rogue One, today, Foursquare has put together an interesting infographic analyzing data from people who checked into Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Trek Beyond. Contrasting the two groups against the average user of Foursquare City Guide and Foursquare Swarm, the company determined which retailers the moviegoers, as a group, overindexed for.
Foursquare notes that just because a chain or category was called out for one type of fan doesn’t mean the other isn’t also likely to go there. It just meant that the segment had a higher affinity than the other, by a margin of at least 10.
