Every two weeks, Search Influence’s Kelly Benish — who knows practically everyone in hyperlocal — covers some of the latest job changes taking place in this dynamic industry. (Plus, scroll down for jobs on offer now.)

Ray King — Top Level Design
The former Aboutus.org CEO decided to start his own venture when he wasn’t quite able to nail down the business model for the popular directory. Ray King is an extremely clever and creative visionary in the space and as a graduate of M.I.T. majoring in computer science and later becoming the CEO of Snapnames. He is a perfectionist. His new company Top Level Design, seeks to capitalize on new “top-level” domains awaiting approval. King’s company, TLD, has applied for names including .blog, .gay, .photography and .wiki.

John Vantine — Edmunds
I was lucky enough to catch up with John Vantine at Pubcon  this week where he told me of his job change from SEO manager at marketing firm Wpromote to senior SEO manager at auto dealership platform Edmunds. This Philly native is very well connected in the search space, having worked in the space since 2006 he practically knows everyone at the conference. Vantine is also an avid Disco Biscuits fan.

David Brussin — Nomi
CEO of Monetate David Brussin is joining Nomi‘s board of directors. Nomi helps retailers gain a 360 degree view of their customers across in-store and online touchpoints. As retailers shift from product-centric to customer-centric marketing strategies, Nomi helps them connect the dots between physical stores, e-commerce, loyalty and CRM initiatives. David’s experience in the space since the dawn of the internet age will give Nomi unique leverage to grow.

Naveen Thattil — WebMD
Internet veteran Naveen Thattil has over twelve years in the web marketing space including 4 years at Reprise Media as their director of SEO. He was the the founder of Triptwit, a technology that monitors Twitter for real-time travel deals and has most recently been hired on as director of SEO for WebMD under their Medscape platform. In this role his main goal is to increase traffic and deliver great content to physicians through this platform.

Joe Hall — Internet Marketing Ninjas
Seasoned marketer Joe Hall decided to jump ship as founder of 22 Media and join Jim Boykin’s crew of Internet Marketing Ninjas as their new senior marketing analyst. Joe has a diverse background in web development, SEO, and social media and he is able to advise clients on superior marketing campaigns and tactics. In the past Joe has owned and ran several internet brands which has given him the unique perspective of a business owner.
