Mobile Products Exec Joins OpenTable
Jeff Kinder has joined OpenTable as Head of Consumer Products and Global Marketplaces. Most recently, he served as President of JP Morgan Chase Offers and COO of Mobile, E-Commerce and Payments division. Prior to JP Morgan Chase, Kinder held multiple roles at Yahoo including SVP of Media Products and Solutions and SVP of Small Business and Recruitment Advertising.
CMO Post Filled at The Weather Company
The Weather Company (an IBM company) announced that Jordan Bitterman has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Bitterman is a seasoned executive in the media and brand ecosphere. Prior to joining Weather, he was Chief Strategy Officer of Mindshare for over three years. Before Mindshare, Bitterman was SVP of Social, Mobile & Content at Digitas.
New Head of Data Partnerships at Unacast
Unacast has added Marianna Zaslavsky as its new Vice President of Data Partnerships. Most recently she was Director of Product Management at Eyeview. Prior to Eyeview she was Director of Business Development at HookLogic. Uncast was founded in 2014 and has raised over $6m in venture funding.
Foursquare Makes Two Executive Hires
After raising $45m in venture funding ($166m+ in total) in January 2016, the location intelligence company continues to make strategic hires. Tamar Shapiro has joined Foursquare as VP and Head of Analytics. Shapiro previously was the VP and Head of Global Analytics for American Express Digital and has over 12 years of analytics experience in various departments at American Express.
The company also announced that Gareth Paul Jones has assumed the role as Director of Technology Services as part of the business development team at Foursquare. Paul will lead enterprise technical services team and enterprise solutions for partners. Before joining Foursquare, Gareth led mobile partner integrations at Twitter, and previously held product manager roles at TRUSTe and Apple, and worked as a customer solutions engineer at Google.
Brandify Hires Senior Sales Leader
Geoffrey Infeld has joined Anaheim-based company Brandify as Vice President of Sales and Client Development. He was previously the SVP of Business Development at Convirza. Before Convirza, he was the executive in charge of leadership and oversight for the implementation of the CallSource Media acquisition where he spent five years in senior roles.
Urgent.ly Co-Founder Joins UpsideDoor
After co-founding and running corporate development at Urgent.ly, Ric Fleisher has joined UpsideDoor as Chief Operating Officer. UpsideDoor is a Virginia-based startup that that empowers consumers to buy and sell real estate on their own.
Internal Chief Executive Promotion at Dropsource
After six months as Vice President of Customer Development at Dropsource, Ben Saren has been appointed to CEO of the young startup. Dropsource is a mobile app development platform for professional development teams to efficiently design, build and ship native iOS and Android Apps. The company has raised $5.5 million in venture capital to date. Before joining Dropsource, Saren was SVP of Marketing at Cayan and VP of Strategy at CO Everywhere.
