Check-Check-Check-Check-Check-Check in Everywhere

That terrible choice you had to make every time you wanted to check in (which service do I use?? Brightkite? Foursquare?) has been tackled by a few different players of late, including Footfeed and Check.in. No longer do you have to pick your favorite child – a nanny-app will log you into all at once. But Footfeed will help you get proper credit for those checkins – hey, become mayor/king/sultan/boss of your fave coffee shop all at once.

Wait, that’s cheating!  you say… Yeah, maybe. But it keeps the internal peace.

Footfeed has been offering the service for a while, but now the company has released version 2, available in the iTunes store. So what’s new with 2? For starters:

  • Match locations manually so you can check in to your networks nearly 100% of the time
  • Addition of a Google Latitude
  • Search Nearby Deals – aggregated from all the check-in networks (with lots more coming very soon according to footfeed)
  • Search Nearby Tips – aggregated from all the check-in networks
  • Search for locations
  • Add a location if Footfeed doesn’t have it already
  • Add/remove networks easily
  • Manually refresh nearby locations

The company points also to improvements “under the hood” while promising a rolling release of goodness through 2010 (so expect more features and content).

As mentioned Footfeed is available on iPhone but will also be riding on Android by the end of the month. mid November.
