SITO Appoints Head of Marketing

Bruce Rogers has joined SITO as Head of Marketing. In this role, Rogers will help shape SITO’s strategic positioning and guide the company’s clients to make informed business decisions based on direct insight into their target consumers’ behavior. Prior to SITO, Rogers spent 27+ years at Forbes, where he held positions such as Chief Insight Officer, Chief Brand Officer, and Vice President of Marketing.

Pinterest Hires First COO

Francoise Brougher, a former executive at Google and Square, has been hired as Chief Operating Officer at Pinterest. Prior to Pinterest, Brougher was the Global Business Lead at Square and VP of SMB Global Sales at Google. Pinterest has raised $1.5b in venture capital. The company planned to IPO in 2018 but delayed its IPO until 2019 due to missed revenue numbers. The hire of Brougher seems strategic since the company needs to button up before a potential IPO.

New CEO at DialogTech

Chief Operating Officer of DialogTech, Doug Kofoid, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company. Kofoid’s appointment comes after Irv Shapiro’s decision to transition from CEO to Executive Chairman. Kofoid spent over a year in the COO role before his new role. Prior to DialogTech, Kofoid spent 10 years at Publicis Media, which was acquired by Google. DialogTech has raised over $70m in venture capital since its founding in 2005.

Executive Hire at FitSmallBusiness

FitSmallBusiness, the B2B online publication serving small business owners, hired Eric Noe as Chief Content Officer. Noe was most recently the Senior Vice President of Editorial Content at Participant Media. Prior to Participant Media, he was Managing Editor at ABC News Digital.

AccuWeather Hires Former Disney Exec As VP

Brian Baker has joined AccuWeather as Vice President, Product Experience, a new role that will lead the user experience and visual design for AccuWeather’s portfolio of consumer and enterprise products. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Design, for Disney ABC Television Group. Previously, he held leadership positions at REA Group and NFL.com.
