Raise Report: BigCommerce, Poq, SoundHound Secure New Funding

Every two or three weeks, we round up some of the biggest fundraises taking place in hyperlocal marketing, commerce, and tech.

April 24: Uberflip Locks Down $32 Million to Foster Personalized Experiences
Updata Partners led the round, according to a company blog post. Uberflip helps brands craft personalized customer experiences at scale. Uberflip intends to invest the funding in its product and its staff.

April 25: BigCommerce Raises $64 Million to Bring Retailers into the 21st Century
Goldman Sachs led the round, VentureBeat reported. BigCommerce is a platform on which retailers can run e-commerce operations. The funding will help BigCommerce bolster its product and build relationships with clients.

April 25: Pusher Rakes In $8 Million to Streamline App Development
Balderton Capital led the Series A round, TechCrunch reported. Pusher provides APIs, SDKs, and other tools that allow developers to build “real-time functionality” into their apps. The capital will allow Pusher to strengthen its U.S. presence and develop its product.

April 27: Rocketrip Scores $15 Million for Business Travel Solution
GV led the Series C round, according to HR Technologist. Rocketrip claims its loyalty-based platform can save clients as much as $200 per employee business trip. Rocketrip will deploy the funds to expand its sales team and support other growth-oriented initiatives.

May 2: Poq Secures £9.5 Million to Help Retailers Develop Consumer-Facing Apps
Smedvig Capital led the Series B round, TechCrunch reported. Poq will use the capital injection to expand its presence in the U.K., Europe, and the United States.

May 3: Cera Snaps Up $17 Million for Home-Care Services Platform
Guinness Asset Management, Yabeo, and Kairos participated in the Series A round, Pitchbook reported. Cera, which connects people in need of home care with vendors that supply it, will use the funding to invest in AI and expand the geographical scope of its services.

May 3: SoundHound Snags $100 Million to Make its Mark on the Voice Revolution
Tencent is leading the round, Business Insider reported. SoundHound offers a platform that companies can use to build out their own versions of Apple and Amazon’s voice assistants. The huge round will allow SoundHound to shore up its position in a field where rivals include the most powerful businesses in tech.
