New CRO at The Weather Company
The Weather Company, an IBM Business, has tapped Carrie Seifer to be the company’s new VP and Chief Revenue Officer. Seifer will lead all revenue efforts for the company, packaging Weather’s B2B and B2C offerings together to present a cohesive set of products for businesses and marketers. Prior to The Weather Company, she served as President of Mediavest USA, Seifer led the company’s digital practice including strategy, operations and investment. Before that, Seifer served as SVP of Strategy at Millennial Media and held senior sales and strategy leadership roles at Meetup, Conde Nast, Vindigo, sixdegrees and Wired.

Local Vet Leaves Microsoft for Aussie Firm
After a year at Microsoft, Ced Simpson is getting back into the local. Simpson has joined Australian based company Digital Maas as Global Head of Sales & Business Development. He will lead North America, LATAM, and European growth from strategy to revenue. Simpson is a veteran in the local sphere and has worked at companies such as Web.com, MatchCraft, and LocalLaunch. Digital Maas is a spinoff of Andrew Thorn’s original business White SEO which is a Google Partner. Simpson’s hire is a clear sign that Thorn wants to enter and capture markets outside of APAC.

Leadership Promotion at Mono
Matt Matergia was recently promoted to Director of Business Development (North America and LATAM ) at Mono Solutions. Matergia has spearheaded growth, sales, and relationships over the past 2.5+ years while at Mono Solutions. Prior to Mono Solutions, he worked in sales capacities at Location3 Media and Dex One. “Matt’s strong results and absolute commitment to client success earned him this well-deserved promotion,” said Eric Owen CEO of Mono Solutions North America. Mono Solutions continues to grow and has won several industry awards for innovation, presence management and best SMB service of the year. Additionally, word on the street is that Mono Solutions has recently signed two major local deals. Stay tuned and see what comes to fruition.

Hyperlocal Veteran Joins CWR Digital
Shannon McBride, formerly of Simpli.fi, has been named VP of publisher solutions at CWR Digital. McBride has 20+ years of experience in the local technology ecosystem. Most recently, Mcbride was Senior Director of Platforms at Simpli.fi. Prior to her stent at Simpli.fi, she held positions at UpSnap, Local Matters, Dex Media and YP.

EVP Hire At Criteo
Criteo, the performance marketing technology company, announced that Greg Archibald has joined the company as EVP of Americas. The hire of Archibald, who brings over 20 years of experience in omni-channel, digital and mobile platform development, will drive Criteo’s portfolio of performance marketing offerings. Archibald will oversee the Americas sales team responsible for all revenue operations inclusive of strategic planning, budgeting and national sales execution. Prior to Criteo, Archibald held multiple roles at NinthDecimal including Advisor, Chief Revenue Officer, and SVP of Sales. Before joining NinthDecimal, Archibald held senior-level positions at Datalogix, Yahoo and Intuit.

Board Member Appointment at Samba TV; Joins Mark Cuban
Samba TV has added Chris Scoggins, of Oracle Data Cloud and former exec at Datalogix, to their Board (which includes Mark Cuban and August Capital). Samba TV is a smart TV apps publishing and advertising company that provides users with interactive TV experiences. The company has raised over $8m in venture funds. In addition to joining Samba TV’s Board, Scoggins is VP and General Manager of Digital Strategy at Oracle. Prior to Oracle, he was SVP and General Manager at Datalogix (which Oracle acquired).

PE-Backed Cint Hires VP
Cint has brought on Michael Teng as VP of partner solutions for the company’s data & technology business unit. Teng has over 12 years of experience in digital advertising. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Global Publisher Services at YuMe. While there, he was responsible for onboarding, supporting, and optimizing all publisher partnerships. Prior to YuMe, Teng spent six years at Yahoo! leading partner teams, focused on growing search revenue with owned and operated properties, and toolbar-transfer distribution partners. Cint is a global insight exchange that enables community owners to provide consumer data to researchers, agencies and brands. The company raised over $17m in venture capital before being acquired by Nordic Capital in 2016.

VP of Sales Hire at Transform
Charlie Butt has joined Transform Inc. as Vice President of Sales. At Transform, he will be leveraging twenty years of B2B relationship management experience in technology to implement growth strategies expanding Transform’s customer base. Prior to Transform, Butt held sales leadership roles at several technology organizations. Previous positions include Vice President of Hotel Partnerships at Stash Hotel Rewards, Director of Business Development at buuteeq as well as roles at Lumata, Inc., Photobucket Corporation and Infospace.

New Digital Chief at Nexstar
Tech VC Gregory Raifman has been tapped to lead the broadcaster’s digital arm, including day-to-day operations and the development of the company’s digital business strategy. Raifman previously held positions at Rubicon Project, LiveRail, and Mediaplex. He will report directly to Nexstar’s president and CEO Perry Sook.
