Christian Ward – Yext
Recently former chief data officer & data guru at InfoGroup, Christian Ward recently decided to head on over to Yext as their new EVP of partnerships. With extensive experience in many areas of deep data (formerly serving as the global head of content innovation for Thomson Reuters), Ward had years of sweat equity & know-how due to his time on the startup circuit. Some of his other achievements include pioneering the independent research space and revolutionizing the ways in which content was being utilized. Looks like Christian is set to put the power in PowerListings.
Andrew Stinger – Appstack
I had the pleasure of meeting the highly talented & quick-witted Andrew Stinger at Street Fight Summit West this week. He’s hilarious and knows his product (and the space) like the back of his hand. It’s no wonder that after a six-year stint with Google as their global product expert for video solutions, he was snatched away recently by Appstack. He also had my immediate stamp of approval due to his admiration to the epic movie “The Goonies.” I firmly believe that Andrew is truffle-shuffling his way to greatness.
John Scott – Local Market Launch
As the New York bred director of sales & business development for Local Market Launch, John Scott really sets the bar high for networking. I’ve known him for almost five years, the man has a perma-smile on his face and always makes people around him feel comfortable and entertained. John also possesses the great qualities of being transparent and genuine, which is rare. In his past role as business development associate at DAC Group he was open to working with any & everyone who made sense. His relocation to Santa Barbara proved to be a positive move.
Corey Quinn – The Search Agency
As VP of business development for The Search Agency, Corey Quinn is a diligent brand advocate and highly adaptable. The Search Agency manages paid search campaigns for advertisers who don’t know how to do it themselves. In our brief meeting Corey was very no-nonsense and eager to get to the point, I appreciate that. His prior work history includes an investment advisory role, consulting firms and agencies alike. This was his first Street Fight conference but his dance card was full of meetings, and his persistence paid off.
Alan Nugent – Medialets
As an advertising platform for mobile and tablets, Medialets recently announced the appointment of Alan F. Nugent as CTO. Nugent, who has previously served as CTO for Xerox, Novell and Computer Associates, is based out of the company’s global headquarters in New York. In his new role, Nugent will be tasked with overseeing the development of Medialets’ third-party ad serving and rich media platform for mobile and tablets. He will be instrumental as Medialets continues its mission to enable high-value premium mobile advertising while also reducing the complexity that gets in the way of mobile success.
