Monday, Sept 11: Typeform Picks Up $35 Million for Conversational Data Collection
General Atlantic led the Series B round, TechCrunch reported. Typeform is a platform for creating data-collection forms that allow companies to collect information swiftly from customers. The company will use the funds for global expansion and product development.

Thursday, Sept 14: Augment Locks Down $5 Million to Improve Brands’ Customer Service with AI
Silicon Valley Data Capital and Jazz Venture Partners led the Series A round, VentureBeat reported. With the round, Augment emerges from stealth mode to offer brands its AI-powered customer-service platform, which aims to improve on chatbot technology to deliver a better customer experience while increasing efficiency.

Monday, Sept 18: Slack Raises $250 Million as Valuation Exceeds $5 Billion
SoftBank led the Series G round, CNBC reported. Going forward, the company that helps coworkers communicate more effectively will look to conquer the global market and generate profits.

Tuesday, Sept 19: MealPal Secures $20 Million for Cheap Food Pickup Plan
Menlo Ventures led the Series B round, Fast Company reported. Unlike the vast majority of food-centric startups that deliver food to their patrons in the form of meal kits or to-go orders, MealPal lets users book cheap meals from local restaurants in advance that must then be picked up by the users themselves. MealPal will use the capital infusion to expand across new cities and into Europe.

Tuesday, Sept 19: Funnel Scores $10 Million for to Help Companies Evaluate Marketing Expenses
Balderton Capital led the Series A round, TechCrunch reported. Funnel makes software that enterprises can use to assess the allocation of their digital marketing funds. The funds will help Funnel develop its product and expand geographically.

Tuesday, Sept 19: Incorta Snaps Up $15 Million for Data Analytics
Kleiner Perkins led the round, VentureBeat reported. Incorta’s data-analytics platform helps businesses make sense of large amounts of data and act on that information. The funding will bolster Incorta’s sales and marketing teams as well as product development.

Wednesday, Sept 20: TrustRadius Rakes In $5.5 Million for B2B Tech Review Platform
LiveOak Venture Partners led the Series B round, according to a press release. TrustRadius is a platform on which companies looking to purchase enterprise technology can read reviews of that tech written by peer companies. TrustRadius will put the funding toward staff growth and product development.

Thursday, Sept 21: Pointy Raises $6 Million for Hyperlocal Retail Solution
Frontline Ventures led the Series A round, TechCrunch reported. Pointy helps local retailers set up a digital presence so that they can survive in today’s digital-first retail landscape. Pointy is all ready in use in 48 states.
