Marketing Veteran Hired By Foursquare
2674357Gayle Fuguitt has joined Foursquare as Chief of Customer Insights and Innovation. Prior to Foursquare, she spent the last three years as CEO of The Advertising Research Foundation and before that spent several decades at General Mills. The hire is important to Foursquare’s growth strategy after raising $45m in January 2016 (at half the valuation they had in 2013 — around $650m). The company hopes to reach $100m in revenue and become profitable, but in order to do so, they will have to hone in on their enterprise business offerings which has drove most of their revenue. Foursquare has raised over $166m in venture capital.

Former Walmart Executive Joins Pinterest
Pinterest has hired Brian Monahan as Head of Vertical Strategy. Most recently, Monahan was running his own event platform startup and was Vice President of Marketing at Walmart. While at Walmart running the marketing team he also spearheaded user acquisition. This fact alone is something of importance to Pinterest. In 2016 Pinterest went from 100m users to 150m users and expects $300m in revenue for 2016. With advertising dollars being spent on a variety of platforms, the more users Pinterest has, the more ad revenue generation. The company has raised roughly $1.3b on $11b valuation.

Yext Poaches Oracle Sales Leader
SaaS sales veteran Andy Champion has left his post at Oracle to join Yext as Vice President of Sales for UK and Northern Europe. Before Yext, Champion was Oracle Marketing Cloud’s Head of Sales for EMEA and served as Vice President of Sales for EMEA at Responsys. Yext has grown significantly over the past two years with 48% growth of local data and $88m in revenue for 2016. Yext has not raised money since 2014 when the company welcomed a $50.25m Series F round at a $520m valuation.

Bandwidth COO Appointed To CTIA Board of Directors
Bandwidth’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve Leonard, was appointed to CTIA’s Board of Directors. CTIA is the trade association that represents the wireless communications industry. Board Members hail from companies such as Verizon, Motorola, AT&T, T-Mobile, Microsoft and Sprint. Leonard will continue to operate with his responsibilities at Bandwidth while supporting CTIA. He has worked at Bandwidth since 2010 and before joining Bandwidth was CEO of GoldPocket Wireless.

New Board Member At Verve
Northwestern University’s Chief Marketing Officer Mary Baglivo has joined Verve as Independent Board Director. The board appointment comes after Verve CEO Nada Stirratt was replaced by Verve Founder Tom Kenney last month. Prior to Northwestern, Baglivo spent eight years as Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Gravy Analytics Lands former Neustar Exec
Gravy Analytics has snagged Anurag Mehta as General Manager of Audience Data Solutions. Mehta most recently served as Vice President of Wireless & New Media at Neustar and was formerly SVP of Sales and Business Development at Mobile Posse.
