MatchCraft Brings on New CEO and CRO
MatchCraft, a paid search management platform for publishers and agencies, has recently announced that Sandy Lohr is joining the company as CEO and Marc Zaks is signing on as CRO. Sandy and Marc will drive MatchCraft to the next level, building on the solid foundation and momentum achieved by the MatchCraft team under Sean Greene’s leadership. Greene, who will be exploring new projects, led several key product initiatives and oversaw the acquisition of MatchCraft by Advance Digital in March 2014. (The author is an employee of MatchCraft).
4Info Snatches Up MapQuest Exec
4Info, a mobile advertising technology company that measures advertisers’ ROI, has brought on senior executive JB Sugar as VP of Advertising Sales. Sugar spent roughly three years at AOL as VP of Sales for MapQuest. It will be interesting to see the movement inside AOL after being sold to Verizon earlier in the year.
Triangle Business Journal Hires New President
Jason Christie has been named president and publisher of Triangle Business Journal. He hails from the Charlotte Business Journal, a sister publication of the Triangle Business Journal, where he led advertising sales for just over a year. Before joining the Triangle Business Journal, Christie worked for multiple media organizations and brings over 20 years of advertising leadership experience to his new post.
Foursquare Beefs Up Sales For New Product
After Foursquare unveiled its geo-targeted ad platform – Pinpoint – the company has hired two sales execs. The new hires are: Michael Rosen (former Chief Revenue Officer at First Look Media) joins as VP of Sales and Peter Krasniqi (former VP of Performance at Tapad) joins as VP of Sales Strategy & Operations. The new hires are strategic for revenue boosting as Foursquare looks to increase sales and continue the momentum of doubling revenue every year.
Verve Mobile Bulking Up Staff
Verve Mobile – which has raised close to $40mm in venture funding – has hired two senior execs to continue scaling its mobile ad data platform. Anna Hougart left Viggle to join as VP of Revenue Operations and Walter Geer left G/O Digital to join as VP & Creative Director.
Daily Voice Hires New Publisher
After restructuring its business, The Daily Voice is launching 22 new sites in northern New Jersey. As part of that, the company has hired Vince Carnevale to be its new publisher. Before joining The Daily Voice, Carnevale worked for AOL’s Patch and Cars.com.
Also on the move: Former CEO Sean Rad returns to Tinder to reclaim his former role, replacing Chris Payne… Former Time Inc. editor-in-chief Martha Nelson has joined Yahoo as global editor-in-chief… RadiumOne has made several C-suite promotions, with Anna Baird rising to president…
