Openings and New Hires at Facebook, 4INFO and WhitePages

Every two weeks, Search Influence’s Kelly Benish — who knows practically everyone in hyperlocal — covers some of the latest job changes taking place in this dynamic industry. (Plus, scroll down for jobs on offer now.)

Veronica Sheeran – Turner Broadcasting
Turner Broadcasting has made some swift moves lately. The company snapped up Veronica Sheehan in an evolving role as senior vice president of their global network with a focus on the technology and studio operations for TBS, Inc. In addition to Sheehan, TBS also brought on Dawn Simonton as their vice president for network partnerships. Both will be charged with network expansion and profitability.

Kevin Flaherty – WhitePages
Over the past year, WhitePages has funneled into the B2B market. The company recently hired Kevin Flaherty as its first CMO to help boost its efforts. In October, WhitePages Pro was launched when the company realized that 30% of their monthly visitors are businesses. Pro grants multi-location businesses demographic data about their customers to help improve customer service and engagement levels.

Mari Tangredi – 4INFO
CloudPrime co-founder Mari Tangredi has recently joined 4INFO, the rapidly growing technology company solving mobile attribution for national brand advertisers. Tangredi joins as senior vice president of strategic alliances and corporate development to help grow the platform and fuel technology adoption. Tangredi is charged with creating new partnerships, driving revenue growth and leading potential merger-and-acquisition activity.

David Marcus – Facebook
The former leader of eBay’s fast-growing payments unit PayPal, David Marcus, is moving on to Facebook to take the role of VP of messaging products. Under Marcus’ direction, PayPal raised brand awareness dramatically and even developed mobile wallet as a retail-facing POS and usable tool for consumers. Facebook is at the pinnacle of some pretty exciting developments in messaging with the recent acquisition of WhatsApp for a cool $19 billion.

Tom Dowdy – Mobee
Retail industry veteran Tom Dowdy has joined Mobee as SVP of business development to drive growth following some recent developments to the mobile crowdsourcing and retail intelligence platform. Dowdy is a seasoned CPG sales and marketing executive who joins Mobee from Gigwalk where he served as retail and brands general manager. Dowdy is well known in the retail industry for founding National In-Store in 1994 and serving as CEO until the firm was sold to Omnicom in 2007.
