Every two weeks, Search Influence’s Kelly Benish — who knows practically everyone in hyperlocal — covers some of the latest job changes taking place in this dynamic industry. (Plus, scroll down for jobs on offer now.)

Brooke Frederick — PaperG
SMB display advertising technology company PaperG just brought on a superstar VP of sales by the name of Brooke Frederick. Brooke joins PaperG from Bizo, a successful ad-tech startup, where she served as director of sales. While at Bizo, Brooke significantly grew the company’s revenue for the midwest and west coast regions. Brooke has over 12 years of digital sales experience through her previous positions with top media outlets including Condé Nast, Time Inc., and VideoEgg (now SAY Media). She is a shining star in the industry.

Eric Quanstrom — Nimble
Recently brought on to Nimble as CMO/VP of marketing and sales, Eric Quanstrom has been tasked with further expanding the management team. Quanstrom brings a combination of marketing, digital media and technology experience to his role, which will include building programs based on Nimble’s reputation as a leader in social relationship management. Previously, Quanstrom was COO of Sorenson Media, a video solutions provider behind Flash and Quicktime.

Matthew Corbin — The Weather Channel
hawthorne-search
I was fortunate to catch up with the talented Matthew Corbin and another recent hire for The Weather Channel (Denise Chudy) at Leading in Local last week, where he expressed his excitement in his new role as general manager of their local platform. With extensive history in media operations and monetization, Matthew is sure to bring torrents of revenue and gales of new partnerships their way. As chief strategy officer for Digital Broadcasting Group most recently, Matthew was a known secret weapon for expansion and growth. So happy for you, Matt!

Sylvain Grande — SoundCloud
As a leader of development teams behind the Nokia Maps, Places, HERE Maps and location-based services platform for Nokia as its director of HERE Maps, Sylvain Grande will start in a new role at SoundCloud next week. His position title is currently unannounced but with experience in telecom, news and music streaming, Sylvain will no doubt prove to be a valuable addition to the SoundCloud team.

Brett Fritz — SIM Partners
I had the opportunity to catch up with my old colleague Brett Fritz from the UBL days, and he’s decided to leave his role as SVP of sales there to pursue a new challenge. He was brought on as director of business development under the direction of the one and only Adam Dorfman at SIM Partners. Brett holds expertise in the leadership, product, business development and sales areas of online marketing, and SIM Partners is certainly lucky to have him on board.

George Leith — VendAsta
VendAsta’s new sales director, George Leith, is focused on developing revenue and audiences, decreasing operational costs and enhancing brand awareness for VendAsta. With a proven track record and 25 years of experience in “killing it” from a networking and sales perspective, it’s safe to say VendAsta is in great hands. The well-connected George was also an on-air broadcaster for Rock 106 FM in his native Alberta and has held the title of president for various publishing and entertainment groups.
