It might be appropriate on a day that Facebook announces single sign-on, new API to Places, local deals and that its service is “multiples” larger than any other (Foursquare: Snap!) that we recall a visual from the recent past by JESS3 (click image for large version).
You’ll note how products are compared in relative terms and what portion of their audience is accessing via a mobile device. If size equals relevance then this speaks for itself – in an outside voice.
But if persuasion and influence is derived from veracity and authenticity not heft, perhaps the others still have a fighting chance. Of course they do.
